Join the Countess and Help Homeless Animals
Lu and Dina Manzo will judge a Howl-o-ween costume contest.
Here’s something worth barking about. On October 29, The Real Housewives of New York’s LuAnn de Lesseps -- along with former Jersey ‘Wife Dina Manzo -- will join MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts and Law & Order’s Richard Belzer as judges at AnimalFair.com’s 12th annual Howloween Pet Costume Benefit.
The lucky dog (or cat or fish) will take home $500 worth of prizes. "So get creative and start tailoring your Snookie Schnauzer, Mutt Romney, Bark Obama, Honey Boo Boo or authentic Snoop Dogg costumes," a release reads. "Don’t worry, no one walks or wags away empty-handed, as there will be plenty of food, spirits (maybe some spooky kind), and treats for everyone."
Tickets and reserved tables are available for purchase with proceeds benefitting The Lucky Diamond Critical Care Ward at The Humane Society of New York. "For over one hundred years (that’s 700 in dog years!), The Humane Society of New York has helped injured, sick, and homeless animals in need through medical attention and adoption centers. The Humane Society’s veterinary hospital provides quality care, as well as spay/neuter services, to pet owners with limited means. The hospital and no-kill adoption center help more than 300,000 animals every year."
Competition may be ruff, but Lu tweets, "Hope to see you and your pets!" Go here (http://animalfair.com/home/pet-host-animal-fairs-12th-annual-howloween-pet-costume-benefit/) for more information.
