Julia Louis-Dreyfus Posts a Glamorous Selfie Following Operation: "Hey Cancer, F--- You!"
The Veep star is "ready to rock after surgery."
Through the aftermath of her breast cancer diagnosis, Julia Louis-Dreyfus has shown a remarkably strong spirit — and a hilariously spicy vocabulary. Back in October, the Veep star let fans know that she was tackling the illness head-on with chemotherapy treatments. "We are NOT f---ing around here," she vowed.
Since then, the actress has undergone more rounds of treatment. She completed her last day of chemo in January, and shared a video her sons Henry and Charlie made to cheer her on. Dancing to "Beat It," the boys encouraged their mom in her fight to beat the disease — and, it looks like she's well on her way.
On February 14, Louis-Dreyfus shared an encouraging update with fans. A glamorous selfie showed the star wearing a black netted top and smoky eye makeup, while her long hair blew breezily around her face.
Announcing that the snap represented her "first post-op photo," Louis-Dreyfus seemed jubilant and relieved. "Hoorah! Great doctors, great results, feeling happy and ready to rock after surgery," she wrote. Then, in true form, she added: "Hey cancer, 'F--- you!'"
