Kandi and Kenya Offer Love to Phaedra and Apollo
How the Housewives are rallying following Apollo's sentencing.
It hasn't been an easy week for Phaedra Parks and her husband Apollo Nida: on Tuesday, Apollo was handed down his sentence after pleading guilty to multiple counts of fraud. He'll be serving eight years in prison, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
While Phaedra and Apollo have kept a low profile, the Southern Belle's fellow Housewives are coming out to show their love and support. And Kandi Burruss says Phaedra is keeping her head high.
"Phaedra's doing great," the Grammy-winning songwriter tells Hollywood Life. "She's basically working. That's how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work. I know that she's promoting her book [Secrets of the Southern Belle] and stuff like that and she's not really trying to focus as much on what's happening."
Perhaps most surprisingly, Kenya Moore had kind words to share for the pair, despite last season's ongoing feud over Apollo's alleged text-flirting with Kenya. When one Twitter fan asked Kenya if she would reach out to Phaedra, she replied, "Yes, I have to wish her well." And on July 8th, one tweet seemed to imply that she had empathy for the couple: "You can't kick someone while they are down even if they fell trying to trip you. Offer them a hand instead. #killthemwithkindness."
