Dr. Jackie Walters Says Kandi Burruss' Surrogate Is a "Model Patient"
The Married to Medicine OBGYN spills the deets on Kandi and Eva Marcille's recent baby news.
Kandi Burruss is expecting her third child via surrogate, and her OBGYN Dr. Jackie Walters couldn't be happier that The Real Housewives of Atlanta family is growing. In fact, she wants to see more little ones running around the Burruss-Tucker household.
"I am so excited that Kandi wants to keep expanding her family because she is my patient, whether it's with her or a surrogate. So, keep having babies. I love it. Have more babies," Dr. Jackie told The Daily Dish during an interview on September 30 in New York City. "So we're excited."
Kandi and her husband, Todd Tucker, hoped to expand their family with the remaining female embryos from when they had undergone IVF to have son Ace, 3. After struggling with fertility issues and fibroids in the past, Kandi thought it would be too complicated and risky to carry a child herself again. So, she and Todd decided to look into surrogacy.
Fans watched Dr. Jackie help Kandi and Todd explore the option of surrogacy last season of RHOA. "I mean, just like Kandi, the surrogate is a model patient," Dr. Jackie told The Daily Dish. "So we enjoy them."
This isn't the only baby news to come out of the ATL recently. Eva Marcille also welcomed her third child, son Maverick, on September 27. Dr. Jackie is also Eva's OBGYN. "Eva knows the best. So yes, I'm excited for her," Dr. Jackie said. "I mean, I want Eva to keep having babies, too. And she's gonna be a wonderful mother."
The Married to Medicine doctor also gushed about how "beautiful" and "adorable" Eva and husband Michael Todd Sterling's 17-month-old son Mikey is. "However, I'm here [doing press for] Bravo this week, and [Eva's] having babies when I'm not there," Dr. Jackie noted. "But I have wonderful partners, so she's covered."
We'll hear more about Kandi's baby journey when the new season of RHOA premieres Sunday, November 3 at 8/7c. Watch the official trailer for the new season, above.
