Does Kim Fields Think the 'Wives Wear Too Much Makeup?

Kim Fields' "Beatless Brunch" on Sunday's The Real Housewives of Atlanta sparked some debate about natural beauty (as seen in the clip above). After the episode aired, Kandi Burruss posted a make-up free selfie with her newborn son, Ace Tucker Wells, in hand. In the accompanying caption, Kandi defended her RHOA pals, who were perplexed by Kim's theme for the get together and felt like RHOA rookie was taking issue with their beauty routine. (The ladies were also gifted with makeup remover.)

How to Watch

"I understood what she was trying to accomplish but in the defense of the rest of our cast its hard to go on tv with absolutely no makeup when you know that the world can be so critical," Kandi wrote on Instagram. "Y'all know how people love to post our pics & go all the way in on us everyday. It's a lot of pressure to always be camera ready. Well, here I am. No makeup, no lashes, no weave.... #Beatless."

Kim tried to explain her reasons for the theme in a confessional. "We all wear makeup because of our profession, because of who we are, because we're girls. And I'm also including myself in saying we all have natural beauty," she said. "How that translates into I'm throwing shade is magical to me."
