Kandi Burruss Is Officially Mom of the Year for Getting Beyoncé to Take a Picture with Her Girls
The RHOA singer introduced Riley Burruss and Kaela Tucker to Queen Bey at the Wearable Art Gala in L.A.
When Kandi Burruss stepped out on the town with her family at the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, The Real Housewives of Atlanta singer bumped into her former songwriting client Beyoncé — for whom Kandi famously wrote back in the days of Destiny's Child. Kandi asked Queen Bey if she'd take a picture with her daughter Riley Burruss, stepdaughter Kaela Tucker, and family friend/up-and-coming R&B singer Jasmine "QT Jazz" Robinson, and Beyoncé agreed to smile sweetly for the camera.
"The mom of the year award goes to me for getting my girls a pic with #QueenBey! @beyonce thank you for being so gracious to take a pic with @rileyburruss @kpt__ & @qtjazz. You made their night!" Kandi wrote on Instagram.
Kandi posted some sweet family shots in Wakanda-themed attire, which was the dress code for the evening.
And she shared a pic with Vivica A. Fox as well.
Amusingly, Bey's six-year-old mini mogul daughter Blue Ivy Carter also made headlines at the event for bidding $19,000 on an acrylic painting of Sidney Poitier, but she lost out to Tyler Perry, who outbid her by just $1,000. Close call!
