Kandi Burrus and Porsha Williams are closing out the year with an exciting new acting gig. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members will both be making an appearance on the upcoming season of HBO’s hit series, Insecure.
Kandi and Porsha each shared the news on Instagram, posting a video on the set of the critically acclaimed show, which stars Issa Rae. In the clip, the two ‘Wives can be seen smiling in the background as rapper Ray J, who will also be making a cameo on the series, pans the camera around.
“My day went something like....Lights, camera, action!” Kandi posted in the caption alongside the video.
Their return to acting comes at the tail end of an especially memorable year for the two castmates. Kandi and husband Todd Tucker welcomed her third child, daughter Blaze, in late November. Meanwhile, Porsha became a first-time mom herself back in March, following the birth of daughter Pilar Jhena. She and longtime beau Dennis McKinley also recently got re-engaged after dealing with infidelity earlier this season on RHOA.
After spending some time with their adorable little bundles of joy, it looks like the two busy working moms are diving head-first back into the acting game. Though specific details about their roles on Insecure have not been released, it’s clear that both Kandi and Porsha are thrilled to be a part of the show.
And fans can expect plenty more from the two in the near future. According to Page Six, Porsha has several other acting and producing projects on the way. Kandi is also set to play a recurring role on Season 3 of The Chi, as she revealed back in September.
Keep up with both Porsha and Kandi on RHOA every Sunday at 8/7c.
