Kandi Burruss & Lisa Vanderpump Officially Have This Major Accomplishment in Common
The RHOA cast member has just received a huge honor from the city of South Fulton, Georgia.
Kandi Burruss and Lisa Vanderpump now have something major in common other than being part of the Bravo family. Both business entrepreneurs and philanthropists have their own official days dedicated to them in their respective states.
Kandi was recently bestowed the honor of having December 18 officially proclaimed “Kandi Burruss Tucker Day” in the city of South Fulton, Georgia, as captured in episode eight of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13. The Atlanta mom shared her reaction to receiving such an incredible distinction while appearing on the RHOA After Show.
“Honestly, I didn’t really know that I was getting my own. I know they said they wanted to present me with a proclamation, but I didn’t know what that actually meant until I got there,” Kandi admitted.
The RHOA cast member went on to add, “It was an awesome feeling to be recognized in my own community for some of the things I’ve been able to do and what I try to bring to the city.”
As for how she’s going to celebrate the day in the future, Kandi says, "I have to find something really nice to do annually on that day."
Perhaps she should call Lisa for some ideas. Back in 2011, the Vanderpump Rules matriarch was presented with a key to the city of Beverly Hills and a proclamation of her very own day (March 11, known as “Lisa Vanderpump Day”).
"I'm shocked but I couldn't be happier! Now that it's my day, you all must wear pink and carry a dog,” Lisa joked at the time.
