Kara DioGuardi Stockpiling Bravo Shows

"Platinum Hit" debuts, and "Kara" is on the way.

By Jordan Upmalis

We can't quit you, Kara.

Kara DioGuardi just made her Bravo debut last night with the arrival of Platinum Hit, but she already has another project in the works here. Tentatively titled Kara, the show would take the American Idol vet and Platinum Hit judge out of the competition world and place her in her own docuseries. The series, which is still in development, would find Kara covering familiar ground in her music and television careers, but would also reveal her personal life as she works to find balance. "People have one perception of DioGuardi, but this series will peek behind the curtain and reveal much more interesting and multi-faceted aspects of this incredibly successful, talented artist and business woman," our VP of Development, Eli Lehrer said. "We believe her dynamic personality and fascinating career will resonate with our audience and reflect our pop culture brand."

And is Kara ready to open up her life to the cameras? So far, so good. "I am excited to broaden my relationship with Bravo," she said. "I am a fan of the network and appreciate how their programming gives the audience a birds eye view into different industries and really uncovers what makes people tick."

Until Kara surfaces, you can satisfy your DioGuardi cravings with Platinum Hit, Mondays at 10/9c.
