Real Housewives of Orange County's Kara Keough Bosworth Welcomes a Baby Girl
The #RHOC daughter gave birth to Decker Kate Bosworth on January 21.
Jeana Keough is officially a grandmother The former Real Housewives of Orange County daughter Kara Keough Bosworth welcomed her daughter Decker Kate Bosworth on Thursday, January 21, E! News reports. The baby came two weeks ahead of schedule at 8 pounds and 19.5 inches long. It's the first child for Kara and her husband, NFL player Kyle Bosworth. "Decker Kate Bosworth was born with a full head of brown hair and pretty blue eyes," Kara said. "Daddy Kyle Bosworth cut the umbilical cord and grandma Jeana Keough got on a flight the second I was being admitted, she arrived in Florida about 5 hours after Decker's birth."
The new mom added that it was a "quick and easy delivery after an amazing pregnancy." And that the baby is already taking after her since she "is just like her mama—fashionably early and a big eater." "I'm so lucky," she added. "No morning sickness, no pregnancy waddle and I wore heels to the hospital—I thought I was just coming in for my weekly check up and apparently Decker had other plans."
Jeana headed to Twitter to share her joy over the newest addition to the family.
Kara first revealed her baby's moniker at a baby shower back in November. She has since shot down speculation that the name is an ode to a certain Blue Crush actress. "No, it's not a nod to the actress Kate Bosworth...Both Kyle and my maternal grandmothers are named Kathleen and Katherine—so it's a way to honor both of them."
Just weeks before little Decker's birth, Kara celebrated becoming a mom with friends at a pre-baby party.
Last fall, grandma Jeana stopped by The Daily Dish offices where she opened up about her life these days. Catch up with her in the video below.
