The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member recently donated medical masks to MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Her donation was matched by RPGSHOW, with whom Karen launched a wig collection last year, for a total of 4,000 masks for the Washington, D.C. hospital.

Harvey Green, vice president and Chief Philanthropy Officer at MedStar, and Ayris T. Karen said during the ceremony that she was "honored" to be able to donate 4,000 masks to caregivers during this crisis. "It's an opportunity for me to protect you while you fight for us. Know that we greatly appreciate your effort, your tireless effort, and your sacrifices. They do not go unappreciated," Karen said at the event. "Also know that I wish for you that you stay healthy, and God bless each and every one of you. Thank you so much."

Karen has been active in helping those affected by the coronavirus pandemic. She previously offered support and resources to sexual assault survivors during this difficult time in an Instagram Live conversation for PAVE, a national nonprofit that works to stop sexual violence and build communities to support survivors for which she has served as an ambassador.
