Now We Know Why Karen Huger Brought Up "Sing Sing" in the RHOP Season 6 Premiere

It wouldn't be a season of The Real Housewives of Potomac without a Karen Huger-Gizelle Bryant showdown, and Season 6 kicked off with one of their most fiery spats ever.

Conflict erupted at Dr. Wendy Osefo's Nude Interlude dinner in the RHOP Season 6 premiere, which aired on July 11, when Gizelle said that "it might be a little difficult" for all of the ladies to get to a good place since she "can't stand Karen" and that they "will probably never be good." After Gizelle said that she had "decided that I'll just tell your truth, your whole truth, and nothing but it," Karen responded by making several jaw-dropping statements of her own about Gizelle.

But if you were as confused about everything Karen said as the other RHOP ladies seemed to be during the episode, the grande dame thankfully explained her comments during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 11, which you can check out in the above clip.

Karen responded cheekily to much of host Andy Cohen's questioning about the night, as you can see, above. However, she did clear up the mystery surrounding why she said "and that's why we went to Sing Sing" to the group. "The Sing Sing thing, I'll say this, Gizelle is really good at sparring, and she likes to pull you into her darkness," Karen explained. "I came up with Sing Sing because I wanted to come back into the light and add some comedy to it, because it just got too dark."

For the record, Karen said that she was not at all referring to the Sing Sing Correctional Facility, the well-known prison in Ossining, New York. In fact, Karen told Andy, "I never knew Sing Sing was a jail," adding, "I was just trying to make light of a very, very dark situation between two old friends."

So, how did Karen and Gizelle go from being longtime friends to foes anyway? Karen explained during the WWHL After Show: "I think it's just the constant, you know, backstabbing she did. It got on my nerves. You can't keep poking the bear; the bear will poke you back."
