Kary Brittingham Reacts to Being Called a "Mean Girl"
The Real Housewives of Dallas cast member addressed her behavior in Season 5.
Now that Kary Brittingham has made up with D’Andra Simmons, The Real Housewives of Dallas cast member is reflecting on some of the things she’s said this season.
On the March 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Kary was asked how she justifies “being a mean girl this year” after being on the receiving end of bullying in Season 4.
“Well, you know, I don’t think I was a mean girl all year. I mean, I had some issues with D’Andra. I definitely speak my mind. I guess you’re gonna have to see what happens,” she said.
On WWHL, D’Andra also weighed in on some of the statements she made on the ladies’ trip to Austin, which she did not realize Kary had heard at the time. When asked, “Is there any part of you that regrets talking badly about Kary now knowing she and Kameron [Westcott] heard everything you were saying, or do you think it was for the best since it led to you finally reconciling?”
D’Andra explained, “I actually don’t believe I talked bad about Kary. I was just expressing my feelings at the moment to Tiffany [Moon]. And I think if you eavesdrop on someone you kind of get what you hear, so that’s how I feel.”
“I know that I didn’t say anything bad. I was expressing my feelings. If I had said, you know, ‘Kary is a bad friend, Kary is selfish, Kary is this or that,’” D’Andra continued. “I felt like she was being [disingenuous] with her toast at the beginning. But now that we worked things out, I think she understands how I felt, and I think she feels her same different way as well, and we’ll hash it out in the weeks to come.”
Kary also said that she was "very shocked" to hear more recently how Tiffany felt about her after they filmed this season of RHOD. “Because I kept addressing Tiffany on the show when cameras were not rolling and she did say that it was, ‘Fine girl, not a big deal,'" Kary explained.
