A Below Deck Alum Is Coming to Ashton Pienaar's Defense in His Drama with Kate Chastain
"Not interested in anyone trying to change my mind," the former Below Deck crew member said.
Kate Chastain and Ashton Pienaar's drama this season of Below Deck hasn't just divided the Valor crew; it seems that fans of the series are also weighing in on the chief stew and bosun's issues — and some of the comments are even coming from familiar faces.
In particular, Below Deck Season 1 chief stew Adrienne Gang has come to Ashton's defense. Though she noted that she hasn't watched any of this season of Below Deck because she's been busy with work, Adrienne showed her support for Ashton on Twitter on December 31. "Suffice to say, I think Ashton Pienaar is a great guy," she tweeted. "Not interested in anyone trying to change my mind."
Adrienne also pointed out that we only see a small part of everything that goes down during the charter season in every episode of Below Deck. She added in another tweet, "I’m just a personal fan of Ashton. I feel like everyone makes mistakes when they drink. EVERYONE. So I stand by my support of Ashton."
Another Bravoleb showed that she has Kate's back. Shahs of Sunset's Mercedes "MJ" Javid came to her defense amid allegations that the chief stew receives "preferential treatment" from Captain Lee Rosbach. "Why is anyone saying @Kate_Chastain gets away with more?? She keeps her side the street CLEAN, and she is here this long because she earned it," MJ tweeted on December 27. "No one is giving out jobs here as a favor. Let’s not beat her up for that."
Kate, Ashton, and the rest of the Valor crew open up more about their conflict in the Below Deck Season 7 After Show, which you can view, above.
