Captain Lee Rosbach Thinks Kate Chastain Should Have Done One Thing Differently During the Van Drama
The Below Deck boss wasn't prepared for this Season 7 moment.
Kate Chastain and Ashton Pienaar's drama came to a head in the December 23 episode of Below Deck when things got heated between the chief stew and the bosun, respectively, during the van ride back to the boat after the crew's night out.
But if you thought your jaw was on the floor after seeing everything that went down, that's nothing compared to how Captain Lee Rosbach reacted while hearing about the incident for the very first time as Kate recounted the night during the Below Deck Season 7 After Show, which you can view, above. "All of this I'm hearing for the first time," Captain Lee said. "I am shocked, and I'm sure I'm gonna be shocked when I see what transpires, and I'm sure I'm gonna have a different viewpoint when I actually see the visual."
Captain Lee then told Kate that he wishes she would have alerted him to what was going on between her and Ashton earlier in the charter season. "And just from what I'm hearing now, it's like you should've come to me earlier with some of this stuff," he said. "Had I known about it, things would have been different."
The Below Deck boss added, "But it's just like, God, it's not the way I run my boats."
The Valor crew opens up more about what led to the dramatic van ride, including why the mention of Ashton's mother was such a trigger for the bosun. It's all in the After Show, above.
