Kathy Hilton on Her First RHOBH Reunion: "It's Surreal"
The RHOBH friend was "excited and nervous" ahead of the Season 11 reunion.
Kathy Hilton recently opened up about what it was like to finally join the 'Wives on the reunion couches for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 11 reunion, which kicked off on October 13. In a behind-the-scenes preview, the RHOBH "fan favorite" shared that she was “excited and nervous” to join the cast members along with host Andy Cohen as the ladies prepared to hash out the drama.
“It’s surreal,” said Kathy in the video, above. “It’s almost like, am I really here?”
Though it may be safe to say that Kathy had the least amount of drama to contend with this season compared to cast members Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Crystal Kung Minkoff, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, and Kathy's sister, Kyle Richards, Kyle gave some insight into why Kathy might be feeling a little anxious.
“It’s so funny, my sister’s nervous,” said Kyle in the preview video. “She has least reason to be nervous, but she’s the most nervous because she’s never done this.”
Kathy recently shared a few more details with Extra about her experience filming the four-part reunion, which she said took 12 hours to film.
“Wow, I had seen bits and pieces of the reunion when both my sisters were on it and it made me cry,” Kathy said in the interview. “If it’s not my family getting upset, I have to tell you, I left that night, after that 12-hour day and got on a plane to New York I was so wiped out, I slept the entire flight, arrived in New York I think 7:30 or 8 in the morning and slept for 10 hours when I got to the hotel.”
She mirrored that sentiment in an interview with Access Hollywood. “I’m not a drama person, so I got to tell you…I was wiped out and it takes a lot to wipe me out," she told the outlet. "It is pretty crazy.”
Though the days were long, Kathy took to Instagram to share her appreciation for being part of the experience, as well as the stunning reunion backdrop, which the RHOBH friend did recognize as a detailed replica of her home's backyard.
“Loved being on this set that felt so close to home for the #RHOBH Reunion,” wrote Kathy in the caption of her post.
There’s no question Kathy has made quite the impression with a series of memorable moments this season — from the Lake Tahoe trip where she “bottoms up” several martinis in a prank on the group with Dorit to her catchphrase “hunky dory.”
When asked if there was one moment from this season she could do over, Kathy replied, “No,” adding, “There is nothing I would change.”
The RHOBH Season 11 reunion continues with Part 2 on Wednesday, October 20 at 8/7c.
