Kelley Johnson Says He Has "No Reason" to "Rekindle That Friendship" with Jennice Ontiveros
"There's a lot of things that happened on both sides," the #BelowDeck bosun said of the Season 2 romance.
Kelley Johnson's fling with Jennice Ontiveros in Season 2 of Below Deck is one of the most memorable romances of the series so far. Unfortunately, it was not one that lasted. Though it was unclear what the future held for Kelley and Jennice by the end of the Season 2 finale, we could see that they were not together and not really on friendly terms during the reunion.
Now nearly two years later, there hasn't been much progress made to rebuild their friendship. "I'm pretty sure the last time I spoke to her was the reunion. I don't think I've talked to her since then. I'm almost 100 percent positive I haven't," Kelley recently told The Daily Dish. "And I hope she's doing well. I hold no grudges. I stuck my foot in my mouth on the reunion. I didn't mean to, but when you're heated at the time, sometimes you just do faux pas."
During the Season 2 reunion, Kelley and Jennice exchanged harsh words while reflecting on their relationship aboard the Ohana, questioning each other's level of commitment to a future relationship, as well as making accusations about their social media activity toward the other person. Kelley said that since then, neither he nor Jennice have made any attempts to reach out to one another, and he doesn't think they ever will. "I don't know. There's a lot of things that happened on both sides, and I got the brunt of it in the reunion because of what I said, but there's a lot of things that she did that I don't really want to talk about that made me really not want to reach out to her," he explained. "I wish nothing but the best for her, but I just have no reason to reach out and rekindle that friendship."
Kelley revealed this season of Below Deck that he ended a relationship before joining the crew again. However, the bosun shared during a recent interview with Talk Nerdy With Us that he is currently dating someone. "She is not from the show, but she shares a lot of my passions, and we just seem to have a blast whether we are out-and-about, or just lying in bed," he gushed.
With abs like these, she is one lucky lady.
