Kelly Bensimon: It's Hard to Come Back from 'Crazy'
How the RHONY plans to show you that she's totally sane.
Forget a simple style makeover. Kelly Bensimon is going all out with her image fixer-upper.
"There's a lot of misconceptions about me," the Real Housewives of New York City star tells OK! Magazine. "It was hard to come back from being 'crazy.' How do you come back from that? With everything that I say, people are going to be like, 'What does she mean by that?' I don't mean anything. I'm very cut-and-dried."
Step one in Kelly's plan to reshape that image is to show viewers her thriving life as a single mom and career woman. "I know, you're like, 'She works?'" she jokes to the magazine (so no one can question whether or not she has a sense of humor). "You're going to see me working, you're going to see a lot more of my kids. Everyone [says] I'm the peacemaker, I'm the glue. I'm not saying I'm anyone."
So Kelly suggests that this season's upcoming trip to Morocco won't bew Return to Scary Island, but that's not to say Kelly is holding back. "If you rub me the wrong way, I could cry, scream, yell. But you know what? That's OK," she tells the mag, "It's called being human. And if you're not human and you don't have emotion, there's something wrong with you."
