Kelly Dodd's Favorite Room Is Perfect for an Unforgettable Real Housewives Party
"It’s a great gathering spot," the #RHOC mom said of the space.
This season of The Real Housewives of Orange County may have been Kelly Dodd's first, but she certainly came prepared with a home that would wow even the most seasoned of Housewives. Everything we've seen of the four-story contemporary Corona del Mar abode, inspired by Miami's South Beach, has been absolutely stunning.
However, there is one room that Kelly loves above all the rest, and that is her 1,200-square-foot fourth-floor living space, she recently revealed to the Los Angeles Times. “It feels like old meets new and is very Old Hollywood,” she said.
If you ask us, Kelly's favorite room isn't really a room, per se, but more like a home in and of itself. That's because the top-floor space has everything anyone would ever need to live happily ever after, including a kitchen with an eye-catching La Cornue French range, dining areas, a full bar, a kegerator, a wine refrigerator, and a rooftop deck with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Look at how much light Kelly's kitchen gets!
With all of that, it's no surprise that Kelly considers the room "a great gathering spot." This space is also where Kelly hosted a shindig for her castmates after a day at the beach earlier this season of RHOC. "The room has a natural draw and so much light. We have random drop-ins all the time. We get up there and can relax and watch the sunset with a glass of wine. It’s beautiful," she described.
Who wouldn't want to spend all their days in this comfy-cozy seating area?
Watching the sun set on Kelly's terrace is the perfect end to a day.
This room looks super luxe, and Kelly said the biggest splurges were the Fleetwood sliding pocket doors connecting the room to the terrace, which cost more than $100,000, and the French Oak floors, which cost $64,000.
We bet Kelly has some swanky dinner parties in this dining area.
When first asked if she borrowed any home design elements from her RHOC castmates, Kelly said, "No, God, no," but she did share that she admires Meghan King Edmonds' design aesthetic. "Her style is relaxing and creative. I like her taste. It’s a little funky," Kelly said. "And she’s young, so her design style is fresher than the other ladies’."
Still, Kelly wouldn't mind swapping homes with a Housewife from another city, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Erika Girardi. "Her home is so over the top," Kelly said.
