Kelly Ripa Majorly Embarrassed Her Teenage Daughter with this Throwback Snap
"Take it down right now!" the 16-year-old demanded.
Like mothers everywhere, Kelly Ripa has a knack for embarrassing her teenage daughter. In a recent appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the television host explained what happened when she posted a throwback snap of her daughter Lola Consuelos, who's now 16. Spoiler alert: it did not go well.
As a general rule, "I’m never allowed to post a photo of [Lola], ever,” Ripa said. But, the mom of two made an exception when she posted a Throwback Thursday Halloween photo from eight years ago. The cute image — which has since been removed from social media, for reasons you'll soon find out — featured young Lola in a bright yellow fisherman's costume. “I was like, ‘You know what, she can’t get mad at an eight-year-old photo,” Ripa continued.

Cue Ripa's cell phone furiously ringing. Lola called her mother to demand that she take the offending image off of Instagram, which Ripa agreed to do. But, the proud mom still flashed the image on The Tonight Show. Oops!
One way to make it up to Lola would be to serve her mimosas, but that's not going to happen. Ripa shared that her daughter loves watching her father Mark Consuelos on Riverdale, but takes issue with something that Mark's character allows his onscreen daughter to do: drink breakfast cocktails.
“[The character] Veronica — she’s 16 also — and she drinks mimosas at breakfast. My daughter’s like, ‘Dad never lets me drink mimosas at breakfast!’” Ripa said. “And I go, ‘Yeah, because he’s a real father and that’s a character on TV!’" That's pretty tough logic to beat!
