Kelly Ripa Reveals Whether LIVE Is Ready for a West Coast Move
The LIVE host shares what's next for the talk show on #WWHL.
LIVE's roots run deep in the Big Apple. Since the morning talk show launched in 1983, the show has always been filmed in New York City. So, when Kelly Ripa stopped by Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, she was surprised to hear that there is some gossip that the show she hosts might make its way out to the West Coast.
"I have not heard that rumor," Kelly told a caller during the show. "That sounds like a rumor that I would start, but I did not hear that rumor and I can’t imagine [that happening]."
There's a pretty good logistical reason, as Andy Cohen pointed out: "That would be horrible because you’d have to do the show at 6am. It’s a live show."
So, it doesn't sound like Kelly will be moving out to Los Angeles anytime soon. She added, "Yeah, we would have to do the show at 6am, and getting guests to come on at 9am can be challenging, so 6am I think would be out of the question."
