Kenya Moore Says She Is "So Sad" Following Elimination from Dancing with the Stars
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom says it has been "a dream come true" being on the show.
Kenya Moore may have dazzled on the dance floor with a spell-binding performance during Monday's Dancing with the Stars, but The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom and her partner, Brandon Armstrong, were sent home after scoring 32 out of 40 with their spooktacular Argentine tango, which paid homage to the iconic horror film, Arachnophobia. The pair fell just behind Mike "The Miz" Mizanin and partner Witney Carson, who earned 34 out of 40 for their performance.
"I just want to say thank you so much for this opportunity. This has been a dream come true," said Kenya, according to PEOPLE. She also addressed the other contestants and judges, saying, "I have so much respect for all of you, and all of you, I love you guys so much!"
There's no question that Kenya and Brandon not only had stunning chemistry on Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars, but the duo also developed a tight bond, a subject Kenya has mentioned more than once before. "If anyone embodies what I think Prince Charming would be it’s [Brandon]…what a good dancer but what a great person!" Kenya wrote in a September 21 post on Instagram. "I now have a friend for life. Our chemistry is so powerful and I can’t wait to walk into the studio to see his face [every day]."
Though the pair had a good run and slayed the competition, managing to escape elimination for six weeks, Kenya couldn't help but share her disappointment. “So sad right now,” Kenya wrote in a post in her Instagram Stories, as she appeared to be wiping away tears while on a flight.
In another Instagram video posted on October 25, Kenya shared footage of her and Brandon as they danced the Argentine tango for their final routine. She captioned the post, "Our last dance."
Several Bravolebs congratulated Kenya for her run on Dancing with the Stars in the comments to that Instagram post. "KENYA!!!!!! You are doing soooooooooo goood!! Proud of you my friend!!" wrote RHOA alum Claudia Jordan. Married to Medicine's Dr. Heavenly Kimes also commented with a series of fire emojis, while RHOA alum Cynthia Bailey chimed in with a hand clap emoji.
Several days before, Kenya shared a video talking about her time on Dancing with the Stars, as well as giving fans an update on her life. "You guys know I'm back on Real Housewives," said Kenya, referencing her return to RHOA for the upcoming Season 14. She also added how she felt to be a part of Dancing with the Stars: "It's one of the happiest times of my life."
