Kenya Moore: I Plan to Have a Baby in 2014

The RHOA star opens up about how she'll start her own "modern family."

Amidst the texting controversies, snarky body comments and goofy impressions of her RHOA castmates, Kenya Moore is serious when it comes to having children of her own. And now she's revealing her plans to start a family.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

"I plan to have [one] next year," she tells Life & Style. "Within the next six months, I hope to be pregnant."

Kenya goes on to discuss exactly why and how she plans to achieve this goal, and it's clear that she's put a lot of thought into this life-changing decision.

Kenya, who is currently dating a businessman who she declines to name, says she's considering going to a friend for a "contribution," or to a sperm bank.

"I'm going to do in vitro," she continues. "I just have to figure out whose sperm to use! … I have some options … I wouldn't mind having a modern family."

The most important thing for Kenya goes beyond logistics: as we've seen on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya's relationship with her mom is nonexistent—she was raised by her Aunt Lori—and she wants her child to grow up with the kind of strong, loving relationship that she missed out on with her own mother.

"I want to give my baby the childhood I never had," she says. "I want to be there for my children, and I want them to know they aren't invisible."
