"It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly,” Kenya said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward. “

Marc said in a separate statement to PEOPLE: “I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible. I cherish our family’s good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way. Rumors, innuendo or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period.”

Kenya and Marc tied the knot in an intimate beach ceremony in St. Lucia in June 2017. The couple welcomed a child together, daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly, in November 2018.

Kenya, Marc, and Brooklyn appeared together on The Tamron Hall Show in New York City on September 16, their first TV appearance together as a family. "It's incredibly challenging because the success rate for these treatments [is] very low. So there's a lot of disappointment; it's expectations, but you also have to be prepared for disappointment," Marc shared on the show of the couple's experience trying to start a family. "So just being there, being supportive, being hopeful, and being just positive and being behind her is what it's all about."

They were then seen together attending a benefit reception Marc hosted in honor of the Black Man Lab at the Wimbish House in Atlanta on Tuesday night, according to PEOPLE.

Kenya confirmed in July that she will be returning to RHOA for Season 12.
