Here's the Reason Why Kenya Moore Didn't Invite Cynthia Bailey to Her Wedding

Cynthia Bailey didn't see that coming.

Does Kenya Moore Regret Not Inviting Cynthia Bailey to Her Wedding?

Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey have struck up quite the close friendship on The Real Housewives of Atlanta over the years. So imagine our surprise when we found out that Kenya had not invited Cynthia to her wedding, which took place in St. Lucia in June.

Well, Cynthia didn't see that coming, either, which was evidenced by her tearful exit from the dinner table during the girls' trip to San Francisco on RHOA. "I knew that Kenya had met someone, and I knew that she really liked him. I felt like things maybe were moving kind of fast," Cynthia recently told The Daily Dish. "But I didn't know they were moving that fast. And I did not see the marriage coming that quickly, nor did I not see myself not being invited to the wedding."

Cynthia explained that she just wanted to be able to celebrate this special moment with her bestie. "For me, I was super happy for Kenya. We are close. She's one of my best friends for sure. I love Kenya. I've been rooting for her. Lord knows I went through all the bad stuff," she said. "So as happy as I was for Kenya and Marc [Daly] getting married, I was a little bit, um, a lot in my feelings that I wasn't there to be a part of it because I would have loved to have been there to be one of her bridesmaids or just fix her dress or something. I wanted to be a part of it."

Kenya explained to The Daily Dish earlier this month (clip above) why it wasn't possible to have all of her loved ones at her "very small, private wedding." "I would have loved for all of my friends to have been there, all of my closest friends, but my dad wasn't even there. So I think with Cynthia, she just has to understand that I wanted more people there, but it was an elopement that turned into, like, eight guests," she said. "And I'm going to have a larger wedding in the summer, and she'll definitely be one of my bridesmaids. So I can't wait to plan this wedding, because now I'm gonna go all out. Now I'm gonna just go over-the-top. It's gonna be diamonds, it's gonna be glitter, it's gonna be gold. It's just gonna be crazy."

So does hearing Kenya's explanation about her wedding guest list help ease the pain of not scoring an invite at all? Well, we'll just let Cynthia explain. "I get why Kenya was pretty private about her whole wedding situation. I've always said that she gets a lot of scrutiny about her relationships on the show. She's been in some not so healthy, great relationships on the show. The girls aren't always so super supportive about her relationships on the show," Cynthia shared. "Yes, I understand why she didn't invite them. I still think that I could've been invited. But I'm gonna let it go. I'm not bitter."

Will Kenya and Cynthia be able to overcome this hurdle in their friendship? Tune in to Sunday night's new episode of RHOA at 8/7c to find out. We've even got a preview for you, below.
