Brandi Glanville ruffled a lot of feathers on last night's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when she chided Joyce Giraud for not getting in the pool. "You're a black person…all my black friends can't swim," she said in part, later clarifying in her confessional, "It was a joke, and my black friends would have laughed crazy because they don't go in the pool because they will get their weave f***ed up."
It turns out Joyce (and probably half of the nation) wasn't the only Housewife shocked by the remark. The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kenya Moore has weighed in on the controversial statement. "Not all Black women wear hair weaves. Half the women on #RHOBH are wearing some fake hair. Brandi cannot be more ignorant," she tweeted last night, before giving Joyce kudos for owning her Puerto Rican heritage and ethnicity.
Although Brandi did apologize on her blog for her "insensitive joke," she doesn't have anything nice to say in response to Kenya. "I am sorry but I just don't care nor do I respect the opinion of a grown ass woman who flirts, texts, and tries to sleep with another woman's husband," she wrote, referring to the "textgate" that occured between Kenya and Phaedra Parks' husband, Apollo. "Once she finds some self respect maybe I will learn to care about what she thinks."
Brandi also called into Watch What Happens Live last night to further clarify her remarks. "I say a lot of inappropriate things," she admitted. "TV is not ready for the real Brandi." Watch below.
What do you think of Brandi's remark? Was it just a joke taken too far? Weigh in below.
