Queen Latifah Says Kim Fields was "Restraining Herself" on The Real Housewives of Atlanta
"The Kim Fields I know would have drew blood out of people," the actress said.
Kim Fields did her best to stay out of the drama during Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, even if she did occasionally find herself at odds with Kenya Moore. However, that calm, cool, and collected Georgia Peach was not the Kim her Living Single co-star Queen Latifah knew.
When the Girls Trip star finally caught a glimpse of Kim on RHOA, she almost didn't recognize her. "I thought they got a whole different Kim Fields," Queen said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Thursday night. "She is who she is. She's definitely grown up and got kids and stuff. But the Kim Fields I know would have drew blood out of people."
Queen Latifah went on to say that Kim seemed to be "restraining herself" and "she was behaving" on RHOA. She also agreed with Andy Cohen that perhaps Kim was "breathing through" her anger rather than expressing it. "Yes, she was, because she could have verbally ripped people out the frame," Queen Latifah said.
Queen Latifah may get the chance to catch up with Kim in the near future. The actress revealed on WWHL in January that she's working on a Living Single reboot that she hopes will feature all of the original cast members, including Kim, Kim Coles, Erika Alexander, John Henton, and T.C. Carson. "It's not there yet, but hopefully we can get it happening," Queen Latifah said.
While you wait to return to "a '90s kind of world," relive Kim's fierceness at the Season 8 reunion, and you'll be saying, "Well, all right, Kim Fields!"
