Kim Zolciaks Fires Back at Kandi's Lawsuit
Kim claims the person getting lost in all this is her daughter, Brielle.
Kim is fighting back! After being hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit by Atlanta Housewife Kandi Burruss over the song, "Tardy for the Party," her rep spoke to the Daily News about the lawsuit alleging that it’s “a publicity stunt” for Burruss’ new show, The Kandi Factory.

Kim’s rep claims that the song was written way before Kandi joined the cast in Season 2 and, “the most important person who was involved with the song, who helped originate the song, is Kim’s daughter (Brielle), who’s lost in all of this.”
That’s not to say that Kandi didn’t contribute to the song. Kim’s camp admits that the song was originally a country tune that got changed when Kandi signed on to revamp it. Furthermore, Kim’s rep alleges that Kandi and co-songwriter Rodney Richard who also filed suit have been paid more than $23,000 for the song.
“There’s no merit to this case,” the rep sniffed. “The perception that Kandi and her co-writer are giving is that they have been paid nothing for the song and that Kim is inexperienced and holding out. All of those things are just the opposite.”
And as far as their friendship which obviously has taken a downward turn the rep says, “Nobody is happy that a friendship comes to this and Kim has a family and she’s trying to be a good example to her kids and other people that are watching. But there’s another lesson that is just as important and that is standing up for yourself when you believe that you’ve been wronged and that’s what’s happening here.”
