Kristen Taekman Brings a Pop of Color to New York Fashion Week
The #RHONY fashionista takes us inside her NYFW experience.
Like any Big Apple fashionista, Kristen Taekman is taking New York Fashion Week by storm, one show at a time. The Real Housewives of New York nail polish designer has been hitting up the front row at several high-profile presentations, and along the way she's been spreading the philosophy of her colorful nail polish line, Pop of Color.
Kristen was spotted at the Jay Godfrey show last week, and couldn't help but gush about his designs to The Daily Dish. "Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful pieces. He is such a lovely man," she said. "The silhouettes are amazing. His models were beautiful. [Manicurist] Pattie Yankee, who I collaborate with and who now does my nails on my nail line Pop of Color line, she did the nails. Gorgeous! They were long and exaggerated, really pretty nails."

And she totally loved everything he showed. "He had this awesome silhouette. He does a lot of cutouts and stuff, and it's long to the floor. And there was this really, a couple of really pretty green, hunter green [pieces]. He put some leather in it this season, which was really gorgeous," she said. "I think it's nice when you have a personal connection to the designer and you generally I just love his clothes. I pull from him for a lot of events."
But it wasn't just about seeing what else everyone had to offer for the Fall/Winter season this time around. For the Collina Strada show, Kristen's Pop of Color nail polishes were used on the models' nails, including the men. "I'm very excited about that. It's completely different which is fun and funky," she said. "Everybody deserves little pops of color — male and female."
