The Summer House Cast Has Feelings About Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula Being (Kind of) Married

The bride-to-be also explained a sweet moment we didn't see that made her realize it was time to ask Paige DeSorbo to be a bridesmaid.

The Summer House Season 5 finale ended the same way most Summer House finales do: with an epic themed party. But this year’s season-ending bash was different than anything we’ve ever seen before. As Danielle Olivera put it, “This was like the theme of all themes.”

How to Watch

The Hamptons housemates came together to celebrate the would-be wedding of Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula, who had to move their nuptials due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Hannah Berner explained that the party was “the classiest thing we’ve ever done,” and she’s definitely not exaggerating. From a three-tiered wedding cake to a lavish dinner cooked by Danielle’s chef-boyfriend Robert Sieber, it was truly a beautiful night. Perhaps one of the most emotional parts of the event was when the Cooke wedding party gained two new additions: Carl Radke (best man) and Paige DeSorbo (bridesmaid). In the Summer House After Show, which is available exclusively to Bravo Insiders in the video above, the friends reflected on how special the day felt, and even shared the behind-the-scenes moment that ultimately made Amanda decide to ask Paige to be a part of the wedding.

Besides the fact that the fake wedding created an opportunity for the friendships between Carl and Kyle and Amanda and Paige to become even stronger, the bride-to-be said it was incredibly meaningful for another reason, as well.

“It was really nice to have it feel like our friends were like, excited and happy to celebrate us. Because it hasn’t always been that way,” Amanda said in another clip from the After Show. “I’m sure we can be so annoying when we are arguing and bickering. Nobody likes the couple that argues. It makes it uncomfortable for the whole house. So it felt so nice that our friends were willing and excited to do this for us and celebrate us because we were so happy. We are still so happy.”
