Kyle Richards' New TV Project Just Landed Two '90s It Girls
The #RHOBH mom's latest endeavor just got a major dose of nostalgia.
As if! Kyle Richards' TV project just landed two of the most memorable "it" girls from the '90s. The TV Land series American Woman, based on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress' childhood, has snatched up Alicia Silverstone and Mena Suvari in two lead roles. In the series, Alicia (who, like, famously played a Beverly Hills native in Clueless) has been tapped to play Bonnie Nolan, the character based on Kyle's own mother and her experiences as a 40-year-old single parent during the tumultuous decade of the '70s, while Mena will play Kathleen, Bonnie's single BFF, according to Variety.
Alicia and Mena are making all our '90s dreams come true.
Kyle confirmed Alicia's casting on Instagram, while Alicia seemed to confirm the Mena news by retweeting several reports.
Kyle is producing the single-camera comedy, which will give viewers a closer look at her family life, including her two older sisters Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton. When The Daily Dish spoke to her back in March, she opened up about having to cast all those roles. "You know what, that's really hard [to find who will be playing me]. That's not as hard as picking my mom," Kyle shared. "It's going to have to be a child that's mature for their age and can handle the role. It's a lot harder than casting a regular script."
Well, we think you're off to a great start.
