Kyle Richards Calls the Hollywood College Admissions Scandal "Shocking"
The RHOBH mom is friends with some of the people connected to the college admission controversy, including Lori Loughlin.
This week, the celebrity news cycle was rocked by the news that about 50 people, including A-listers and actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman, were allegedly involved in a college admissions scandal dubbed "Operation Varsity Blues." According to reports, the scandal allegedly involved various college admission scams including cheating on college entrance exams by hiring proxies/test administrators to take tests for students and parents paying college athletic coaches to recruit their children for athletic teams, despite their skill level.
And this scandal hits close to home for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom Kyle Richards. When Kyle appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, she told a caller, "We know a lot of people in that circle — and it was really shocking today." (More in the clip above.)
She confirmed that her daughter Sophia "knows all of those girls," and that she's also friends with Lori Loughlin herself. "They're really great people and you kind of just go, 'I'm really so confused by all of this.' Everyone's talking about it today in our world, in our circle."
As RHOBH fans have seen over the years, Kyle has sent a couple of her daughters off to college throughout her time on the show and when she was on WWHL this week, she noted, "But we, until today, had never heard this ever existed. Maybe I'm naive. I didn't even know that existed."
