As you might imagine, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards is extremely excited that her daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, recently became engaged. But she's not the only one. As it turns out, Mauricio Umansky is having a hard time hiding his joy for Farrah's future wedding to Alex Manos.

When The Daily Dish spoke to Kyle on Wednesday (December 1), just days after Farrah confirmed her engagement, she opened up about how her family has reacted to the happy news of the upcoming nuptials.

"Yes, he asked her dad [Guraish Aldjufrie for pemission]," Kyle shared during a junket for the upcoming Peacock holiday movie, The Housewives of the North Pole. "I am not in wedding mode yet because she has not given me a date or anything, and we're trying not to be, like, pushy parents. And my husband is literally on his phone, like, 'This date works for me. This would be a great date. If they did this date, this would be perfect.' And I'm like, 'This is not up to you. This is not about us. We both have to remember this. They have to pick the date. They have to pick the venues, and we just pay for it and show up.' So, we're trying to be respectful."

While Kyle is still waiting to make any formal plans with her eldest daughter, she is delighted by the fact that wedding planning means that she'll get to spend more time with her not-so-little girl. "For me, it's just exciting 'cause she's my firstborn, and I'm just excited about all the things," Kyle said, adding, "Having the time with her more than anything — because she works so hard, and she's a workaholic — and to have the time with her just to go register, pick the dress, and the flowers, I'm just looking forward to having that mother-daughter time."

Kyle's The Housewives of the North Pole co-star Betsy Brandt did offer up some assistance in the planning, should the mother of the bride need it. "Well, you have to pick out what to wear," Betsy shared. "I'll pick for you; I'll choose what you wear."

The Housewives of the North Pole is streaming exclusively on Peacock beginning on December 9.
