Kyle Richards Says She Will "for Sure" Spend Christmas with Mauricio Umansky: "I Love Him"
The RHOBH mom also revealed that she and her husband still enjoy family time amid their separation.
Despite their separation, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are putting on a united front.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple confirmed their marital problems back in July after nearly three decades of marriage. Kyle later revealed that it was she who initiated the separation but made it clear she and her husband were “still amicable.” This was further demonstrated on November 23, when Kyle and Mauricio spent Thanksgiving together at their Encino home with friends and family.
The RHOBH OG spoke about the celebration in a recent interview with The Messenger, insisting the holiday dinner felt completely “normal."
Kyle Richards on Spending Thanksgiving with Mauricio Umansky
“You know, we live under the same roof and May and I have never been a couple that fights,” she said during her sister Kathy Hilton’s star-studded holiday party. “And that’s not — I’m not just saying that. If you ask my kids [they] have never seen a fight between us ever…. We had our close couple of friends there. And, you know, it was sort of just a normal Thanksgiving, actually.”
So, will Kyle and Mauricio continue to celebrate the holidays together? All signs point to yes. Kyle told The Messenger she and her husband will “for sure” spend Christmas with one another as they’ve remained on friendly terms.
“We’re still in the same place,” she continued. “It’s certainly not a position I ever imagined myself to be in, you know, after being married all these years. And I love him very much, obviously. So that part is obviously difficult, but I think people do think it’s probably strange, I guess. I don’t know… We were watching movies last night with the girls. And so I’m just grateful that we’re as good of friends as we are. And we can navigate through this difficult time the way we are.”
Will Kyle Richards spend the holidays with Morgan Wade?
Seeing as how close Kyle has come to be with her friend Morgan Wade, does that mean the country signer will be joining in on her holiday celebrations? Morgan was asked this exact question on Dec. 15, but per the Daily Mail, she said she's spending the holidays "back home with [her] family."
How are Kyle Richards' daughters handling the split?
Kyle shed more light on the separation during her October 25 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, saying her four daughters — Farrah Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky — were completely devastated when reports of the split began circulating.
“I mean, our phones were blowing up, my kids were just crying and wouldn’t leave the house, and it was really, really difficult,” she said. “But now, they’re much better, and they’re really strong and they’re they’re just so together and so smart and they’ve been my best, best, best friends, and I could not be more proud of them. They’re just amazing human beings, and thank God I have them through this.”
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umanksy address divorce speculation
In the months since their split was announced, Kyle and Mauricio have repeatedly said they had no plans to divorce and were "trying to work it out." Mauricio clairifed the details of their situation in the November 16 episode of the Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast.
“Everyone wants to know what’s going on with my marriage — like, I do too, you know, we’re normal people," he said. "We’re normal human beings going through a struggle, we’re going through issues like everybody else does."
"There’s no playbook for how to deal with it," Mauricio continued. "We’re humans, and it doesn’t change on a daily basis. If we're separated that means we're giving each other time to allow things to happen.”
