Kyle Richards 'Wasn't Prepared' to Air Dirty Laundry on TV
The 'Wife thought she could "outsmart" the cameras.
Kyle Richards admits that she thought she could keep her family drama packed in the closet while shooting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Not so much.
"I really thought that I could outsmart them, but once the cameras are there and you're comfortable with the crew, next thing you know your whole life's out there," she confided during an interview with 20/20.
Long before Kyle and big sis Kim invited cameras into their lives, the two had major unresolved issues. "There was lot of things that we both kept inside, and had been building up," Mauricio's Mrs confesses. When the balloon finally burst, the two flung toxic daggers at one another; Kyle accused Kim of being an alcoholic and said their mother died worrying about her. Kim raged back that Kyle stole her house from her. Ugh, painful.
Bravo executive Andy Cohen summed up the difficult-to-stomach showdown by simply stating, "You could not predict nor script something as raw and as dark as that moment was." But Kyle says the two have begun to repair their damaged sisterhood, and despite the heartache, she's ready for Round 2. "If you walk away now, what was all this for?" Touché.
