Kylie Minogue Scores a Victory Over Kylie Jenner in Trademark Battle
Will the real Kylie please stand up?
Kylie Jenner just learned a valuable lesson when it comes to the law: Sometimes you lose. According to reports, pop singer Kylie Minogue won a legal battle against the reality star's claim over the use of the name "Kylie," two years after the teen mogul filed a U.S. trademark application for the name in order to protect it in connection with advertising services.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has reportedly rejected the Keeping Up with the Kardashian sister's claim according to Us Weekly, but she already planning to appeal for the use of the name for her many businesses, including her beauty and fashion lines. Representatives filed notice of opposition to Kylie Jenner's application last February. In that petition, Team Minogue called Kylie Jenner “a secondary reality-television personality,” while referring to the singer as an “internationally renowned performing artist, humanitarian and breast cancer activist known worldwide simply as ‘Kylie.’”
We're sure this bit of news has one of the Kylies all like...
