Lady Gaga Will Step Into Beyoncé's Stylish Shoes for Coachella
The Mother Monster is set to fill in for the pregnant Queen Bey.
Fret not, pop lovers, Lady Gaga is officially standing in for Beyoncé at Coachella next month. The singer confirmed she'll be headlining the two dates that Queen Bey was once slated to play: April 15 and April 22. Her one tease for what fans should expect from her headlining gig: "Let's party in the desert!" Sounds like a blast to us!
Beyoncé confirmed last week that she wouldn't take the stage during the annual music festival in Indio, California citing her pregnancy as a reason, but noted she would make up those dates during Coachella 2018. "Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival," said a statement from Bey's team to the Associated Press, via Access Hollywood, at the time. "However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding."
While it's Gaga who will be taking the stage this year, we can't help but wish that Bey might still make a cameo — because "Telephone" is still magic.
