Since we were introduced to Lala Kent and James Kennedy on Vanderpump Rules, we’ve watched them grow up and change. That includes Lala embarking on her motherhood journey with daughter Ocean (and now as she prepares for Baby No. 2), as well as James' progress in strengthening his relationship with Ally Lewber and settling into their first home together.

How to Watch

While Lala and James will always be able to look back on those sweet memories, thanks to the series, there are also moments that they’re “turned off” by.

In the latest episode of Bravo's Hot Mic podcast (clip above), Lala and James sat down with host Alex Baskin to discuss their time on the show, where they speak on past actions that “mortified” them and reveal how they think people (and Lala's imaginary grandkids) will react to VPR in the future. Plus, James reflects on his personal growth since his first season.

While reminiscing on her time on the series, Lala shared that she “can’t watch OG episodes” because she’s “mortified and so annoyed” with her younger self. The soon-to-be mother of two went on to admit as she gets older, watching the show becomes easier; however, she can’t wait to see how her “grandkids” will react to it.

“They’re going to be like my grandma was lit – how fun is my grandma stripping on TV at the waterfall? So fun,” she jokingly told Alex and James, referencing the moment from Season 4, Episode 12.

Lala may cringe at herself onscreen, but James “loves watching” himself on Vanderpump Rules. During the Hot Mic podcast interview, he opened up about how it’s rewarding to see how everything has shaped him into the man he is today.

“You know, I see how much I’ve grown from like Season 2, 3, 4 and I’m like, oh my god who is that person,” he said. “But I wouldn’t change it because it was just a young gun.”
