She's best known for her role in Clueless, but Stacey Dash tries to stay very clued in on politics. That's why the 51-year-old — who's never been shy about her conservative views — is apparently running for U.S. Congress.

How to Watch

The former Fox News commentator has reportedly filed paperwork to run for office in California's 44th district. Including areas such as Watts, Compton, and North Long Beach, the district is currently represented by Democrat Nanette Barragan.

Dash has yet to issue an official statement on her political aspirations. But, the Republican has teased the possibility before.

In early February, Dash took to Twitter to share: "A number of people online and off have suggested I run for political office. I wanted to see what my online community thinks of the idea as I mull the possibilities. Thoughts?" In the comments section, the responses varied from "YES" to "girl bye."

So, how does Landon Clements feel about Dash's (alleged) news? As a quick refresher, the Southern Charm alum was previously married to James Maby. Maby, in turn, was once married to Dash, and he and Dash share daughter Lola; Landon was Lola's stepmother.

When she learned about Dash's political aims on February 26, Landon took to Twitter with words of support. "Good luck, babe," she wrote, after quoting a line from Clueless about using popularity for a good cause.
