Lilly Ghalichi: How I Stay Skinny
The Shahs star reveals her fitness and dieting tips.
The "Persian Barbie" of Shahs of Sunset, Lilly Ghalichi, may be genetically blessed with a hot bod, but that doesn't mean the bikini-loving skinny-joon doesn't work to keep her figure looking fantastic.
So what does she do to keep in shape? Surprisingly, her workout schedule doesn't include hours of weights and squats. Instead, she favoris thrice-weekly workouts of pilates, spinning and hikes with a personal trainer, she tells the Examiner.
Lilly admits that she's been blessed with a naturally svelte frame. "I am very lucky in that I am genetically blessed in this department," she says. "God gives us each something great—maybe beautiful eyes, great lips, gorgeous hair—whatever it may be, I definitely got skinny genes! Being naturally thin is a great help in staying fit, I know how much of a struggle it is for those that have to work twice as hard due to genetics, and I respect their hustle."
Another surprising reveal: Lilly's not one for dieting, but makes the extra effort to watch what she eats when she wants to look and feel her best—especially if she's heading out for a photo shoot to promote her bikini line, Have Faith Swimgerie. "Diet is my one weakness," she says. "I can’t do it. I’ve tried to drop sugar. I’ve tried to quit eating certain carbs or fried foods, it’s so hard! I’ll have to go back to thanking genetics for this one. I pretty much eat whatever I want. With that said, diet is the No. 1 factor in how my body looks. If [I] eat poorly, it shows, and if I eat clean, it shows as well. When I have a big shoot coming up, or something I need to look my best for, I do try to be a bit stricter with my diet. This includes lowering my sugar intake, cutting my salt intake, and trying to avoid carbs after 8 pm."
