Lisa Barlow Reveals One of the RHOSLC Husbands First Gave Her the "Mormon 2.0" Nickname
The cast member also explained exactly what the term means in relation to her take on religion.
One of the first things we’ve learned about Lisa Barlow this season is that she considers herself to be “Mormon 2.0.” The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member opened up about what exactly that means to her, and who helped her coin her religious identity on the December 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
When asked, “Lisa, can you explain how alcohol fits into your Mormon 2.0 lifestyle? Isn’t all alcohol forbidden from Mormonism?” Lisa explained in the video above, "Well, I guess that’s why we call it 2.0! Seth Marks is actually the one that gave me the title of Mormon 2.0, and I like it. It just means that I’m not orthodox.”
Lisa actually elaborated on the exact moment Meredith Marks' husband, Seth came up with “Mormon 2.0” on the November 12 episode of The Daily Dish podcast.
“He literally was asking us so many questions about being Mormon one night at dinner. And I never normally talk about it. And then he’s like, I really think you’re Mormon 2.0. and it stuck,” she said. “It’s been like, five, six years now that I refer to myself as Mormon 2.0. But that’s all thanks to Seth Marks."
Andy Cohen had another question for Lisa related to her stance on religion: “Considering you’re Mormon 2.0, do you agree with Heather that the Mormon community is judgey after someone gets a divorce?”
“No, not at all,” said Lisa. “My husband is divorced. Half my family is divorced. We have so many friends that are divorced so, I don’t know, I don’t want to speak for Heather’s feelings, but in our experience, not at all.”
