Now, the mom of two is offering her followers an update on how Jack is doing, and how she's been feeling since he left for his mission in Colombia.
Jack Barlow's Hospitalization Amid His Mission in Colombia
The Vida Tequila founder took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on December 19 to share that Jack, whose mission began in the summer of 2023, was in the hospital.
"I miss Jack every day — he has been in the hospital for 3 days and it’s killing me not being there," Lisa wrote in one message, along with two red heart emojis.
When a concerned follower inquired about Jack's condition, Lisa noted that "He will be [OK]" but that it's "hard being so far away."
Another follower asked what caused Jack's hospitalization, and Lisa shared that "They are figuring it out," and that they would know more information soon.
Jack Barlow's Mission in Colombia: Details
After telling Lisa and dad John Barlow that he wasn't sure that college would be for him, Jack announced his decision to go on a Mormon mission ahead of filming for Season 4.
“He sits down next to me and just starts bawling,” Lisa recounted in an interview on the Season 4 premiere about how the conversation went after she “got into it” with her son. “And I’m like, ‘What’s going on, Jack?!’ He’s like, ‘Mom, it’s gonna be OK because I decided to go on a mission.’”
Later on in the Season, Lisa and John hosted a mission reveal party for their son, where he learned that he would be headed to Colombia. Lisa later reflected on Jack's decision on Season 4, Episode 12.
"You know, this mission for Jack is so personal," Lisa said in another interview. "And he's going for the right reasons. He's going because he felt strongly that this is the right decision for him. He had everything at his fingertips. He could be doing anything else in the whole entire world, but he chose to go out there and connect with people, share a message of love and kindness, and teach people about God. As soon as he wakes up, until the time he goes to bed, he is going to be serving others, and, as a mom, I couldn't be more proud of him."
