Here's Why Harry Hamlin Doesn't Follow Wife Lisa Rinna on Social Media
It may just be one of the secrets to the success of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills marriage.
If you're not following Lisa Rinna on social media, we really don't know what you're doing with your life. The Beverly Hills Housewife serves up stunning lewks, delivers dazzling dance moves, and provides essential updates on daughters Delilah Belle Hamlin and Amelia Gray Hamlin that we wouldn't know where we would be without.
However, there is one person very close to Lisa who's missing out: her husband, Harry Hamlin. "I do not follow my family [on social media]. I have been told that it would be very smart for me to just ignore what they do online," Harry revealed during his December 4 appearance on Live with Kelly & Ryan. "I don't watch the message boards, I don't read reviews, and I don't look at Lisa's posts."
Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest then showed Harry a video of Lisa busting a move at Andy Cohen's baby shower in January (Lisa dished more on the epic event during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in February, which you can check out, above). "You see why I don't follow her?!" Harry exclaimed.
Then he admitted, "But having seen that, I'm going to ask her to do that in the nude."
However, not following his wife on social media seems to be working for Harry and Lisa. The couple celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary in March. "In all seriousness, we really respect each other, we listen to each other, we're great friends, and we really like each other," Harry said of the secret to his and Lisa's long-lasting marriage on Live with Kelly & Ryan. "Also, there's a thing called sex that kind of plays into the whole thing. I highly recommend it for married couples."
Harry said that it also helps that he and Lisa allow each other to pursue their own varied interests. "We're complete opposites, too. Absolute, 100 percent opposites," he said. "We give each other a really long leash, so she can do whatever she wants, I can do whatever I want."
It also probably doesn't hurt that he has been a dedicated family man throughout their relationship, especially after the birth of their daughters. "I'm here in New York now. I said to her when our kids were born, I said, I'm not gonna leave home for more than 10 days until my kids leave home, until our kids go," Harry shared. "Now they're gone, so here I am in New York for the first time in 21 years doing a play [One November Yankee], which is my favorite thing to do ever, and I haven't done one in 21 years."
