Lisa Vanderpump’s Villa Blanca Restaurant Is Closing
Lisa hopes to reopen the eatery in a different location.
Lisa Vanderpump is shutting down her eatery, Villa Blanca, after 12 years of business. Lisa confirmed the news in a July 10 statement to The Daily Mail, announcing that the Beverly Hills restaurant will be “closing up our doors for good.”
According to The Daily Mail, Lisa and husband Ken Todd made the difficult decision to close the restaurant after expiration of the space’s 12-year lease. “If the landlord had been willing to renegotiate and the lease wasn’t ending, we would have reopened, but unfortunately with Coronavirus, the situation was beyond our control,” Lisa told the publication.
Despite the closure, Lisa is optimistic about potentially reopening Villa Blanca in a different location in the future. “While saying goodbye to the location where we have actively served the Beverly Hills community for 12 years and employed hundreds of Angelenos, is a sad time for us, we are excited to perhaps bring Villa Blanca back in the future at a different location – as its staff and customers have always been a family,” she said.
For now, Lisa is focusing on reopening her other restaurants: Pump, SUR, Tom Tom and Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, which have all been closed temporarily due to the pandemic.
'We will definitely be opening up the other restaurants as soon as the government allows it and they are safe to open,” Lisa explained, also adding that “many of the Villa Blanca staff members will be relocated to these businesses.”
