The Real Housewives of New York City Season 11 Reunion Was Different from Years Past
Here’s what was the biggest difference, according to Luann de Lesseps.
Real Housewives notoriously dread filming reunions. After all, all the drama from the season is rehashed months after it happened, and the ladies are able to see what has gone on that they weren’t previously privy to all season. However, Luann de Lesseps recently shared that she doesn’t usually dread The Real Housewives of New York City reunions: in fact, she looks forward to them. Except, unfortunately, this year.
“I usually like the reunion and this time, I was like, oh, this is not going to be easy,” she told The Daily Dish podcast. “The reunion’s all about saying the things that you didn’t get a chance to say or that weren’t clarified, and to kind of make amends. It look me a little moment to get my footing but then I felt comfortable being there.”
And there was another key difference from the Season 11 reunion: what happened right after the reunion. While in years past, the RHONY wives come together despite whatever has been said during the reunion taping and go for a post-filming dinner, that wasn’t the case this year.
“There was no group dinner but not to say that it didn’t end well,” Luann said, adding that she instead “went to the Hamptons to relax.” “I’m taking time for myself and just not thinking too much about the past. I’m one of those that likes to put things behind me and move forward in a positive way. I’m just really taking care of myself, doing yoga, being with my children, and enjoying my homes.”
