Why Is Mama Joyce Still Distrustful of Todd Tucker with Kandi Burruss’ Money?
The RHOA cast member opens up about the drama between her mom and her husband.
Mama Joyce has never been shy about sharing her opinion on any matter — and that includes her opinion of Kandi Burruss' husband, Todd Tucker, and her distrust of him with Kandi's money. The topic came up again during The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 12 finale on April 19 when Joyce relayed a story to her daughter about how people should watch their money around others.
Mama Joyce told Kandi a story about a kid in school who tricked her and stole her lunch money: "That's when I stopped trusting people. Since first grade, I found out that people take your money. You have to watch people."
Kandi took that anecdote to imply that "clearly she must be talking about Todd" and his intentions with Kandi's money, even though Joyce never explicitly said his name. Later Kandi noted that she doesn't feel the same way as her mom: "I just let her feel the way she feels, but at the end of the day he's my husband."
In the episode, Joyce also suggested that Kandi put her money in a trust to protect it in the future.
Kandi chats all about Todd and Joyce's drama in the RHOA Season 12 After Show clip above and how baby Blaze "healed our family in such a way."
When Kandi appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, she offered up her take on the issue: "I don't know because at this point, especially with the things that he's brought to the table, he's the one who put together the whole Old Lady Gang franchise now and it's made way more money."
