Marissa Hermer Gives Birth to a Baby Girl
The #LadiesOfLondon restaurateur has welcomed her own little lady into the world.
After a pregnancy filled with ups and downs, Marissa Hermer and her husband Matt Hermer welcomed their third child into the world on April 21 at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, Hello! Online revealed Thursday.
Marissa also posted the first photo of her baby girl on Instagram, and she is as adorable as we imagined.
Marissa and Matt already had two little boys, 4-year-old Max and 2-year-old Jake, at home, so she was convinced that baby No.3 would also be a son. “Matt and I were totally shocked when the doctor told us we were having a girl — I just assumed we would have another boy so was planning out little Hermer football team,” she said when she revealed the baby's sex to PEOPLE in March. "Now every time we go back for a scan, we ask if she can please check again as we still can’t really believe it. But looks like we will be adding a little princess to our brood!”
The Ladies of London restaurateur opened up about her pregnancy struggles after being diagnosed with placenta accreta (when the placenta attaches itself too deeply and firmly in the uterine wall, which can cause serious bleeding after giving birth) to The Daily Dish in February. Marissa explained that she had been on bed rest throughout the pregnancy, which she documented on Instagram as recently as four weeks ago.
Luckily, she had her Ladies of London castmates, Julie Montagu and Sophie Stanbury, around to keep her company.
Marissa previously told The Daily Dish that she was reluctant to celebrate the arrival of her baby girl before she was born. "I'm so superstitious about this pregnancy that I don't know if I want to have the party quite yet. And though I want to celebrate the pregnancy, I think we're going to have a big party after the baby's born," she explained in February. "I'm opening another Top Dog probably right when the baby's gonna be born as well, and there's so much stuff to do for that, so I think I might wait a little bit on that until the baby's born and Top Dog is open and then celebrate them all at once."
Here's hoping Marissa and her family have quite the shindig in store for their little girl. They definitely deserve it.
