Marissa Hermer's Husband Is Even More Romantic Than You Imagined
This #LadiesOfLondon hubby really knows how to make his wife happy.
Marissa Hermer's husband, Matt Hermer, has been incredibly supportive of his wife on Ladies of London, especially last year as the couple dealt with some scary challenges on the road to welcoming daughter, Sadie, into the world. "I've had some rough times this year or the last couple of years having children back-to-back-to-back, he'd be like, 'OK, you're taking the afternoon off, and I've booked you a massage and a facial,'" Marissa gushed to The Daily Dish. "Like, that's actually really romantic to me. Oh, actually, I don't want red roses. I want a massage. He knows what I need when I need it."
But Matt doesn't just shower Marissa with affection when the couple is in crisis mode; he's a romantic 24/7, according to Marissa. "Yes, of course he comes home with flowers and surprises me with that and writes me little notes. He keeps that part of the relationship alive, which I think is so important, and I'm appreciative of," Marissa said. "I think it's sometimes just coming home with — this sounds obnoxious — but a tin of caviar. Celebrating the special moments and just having a quiet night in, and that's very nice."
Naturally, Marissa suggested that a tin of caviar, a facial, or a massage would make for a perfect Valentine's Day gift for anyone. Also, spending time together — or apart — works, too. "Call me old-fashioned, but I love a proper date night, like dinner and the movies, maybe because for me that just doesn't happen. It's hard to get out with the kids and to do a dinner and a movie, and that's so old-fashioned, romantic to me that I always think that's a nice thing," Marissa said. "Give me the day off, actually, and I'll be on my own all day long. That's a perfect Valentine's Day. I'll have a massage, facial, manicure-pedicure. That's living."
Of course, nobody's perfect, and there are some areas where Matt could improve in the romance department. "Matt is good at so many things. He is not good at being the handyman husband. So I'm always like, 'Matt, that lightbulb's out.' He's like, 'Oh, great. Can you change it?'" Marissa shared of her least romantic moments with Matt. "That's not that romantic that he makes me change the lightbulbs in the house. He doesn't think like that."
Luckily, Marissa and Matt have shared more romantic moments than not, like the one below from last season of Ladies of London.
