The Married to Med Couples Discuss Divorce Scares Over 10-Year Anniversary Dinner
Marriage always has its ups and downs, as seen on Married to Medicine. But which couples have actually thought about divorce?
The Married to Medicine couples are no stranger to division in some of their households, right down to the point of the word “divorce.” During their couple’s trip to Hilton Head for the series' 10-year anniversary, they shared during dinner how close some of them have come to hiring a divorce attorney.
Who on Married to Medicine has almost gone through a divorce?
The group celebrated their aluminum anniversary, dressed in metallic colors to celebrate 10 years of couples trips together. During their 10-year anniversary dinner, Simone posed the question, “Who at this table has said to your spouse, ‘I want a divorce'?"

Eugene and Toya were the first to raise their hands.
“We’ve had that moment,” Eugene admitted.
Simone added that divorce is an option because “some people should come out of their situation.”
But no one was prepared for Dr. Alicia to raise her hand after that. “No one is perfect, everyone has their issues, I think it’s very important, especially for Black families to see that we can keep the family together for the greater good, especially for our kids,” her husband Kema shared while the other couples expressed their shock.
During a confessional, Alicia said there was only one time during their 7.5 years of marriage that she was serious about filing the paperwork for a divorce.
“That was at the time I was pregnant with Amara (2017) and Kema was still expecting me to be in the kitchen cooking up stew chicken while my ankles were swollen,” she revealed. She said she needed Kema to step up and help her during her pregnancy.

“Men take it really seriously when a woman says ‘I’m going to divorce you,’ because what we hear is, you’re going to leave me, you’re going to take my kids, and you’re going to take half of my money, my property, and my possessions,” Kema added. They never made it to divorce court because Kema changed his ways and became more of a team player to help out Alicia.
Back at the dinner table, Alicia told the group that they still had work to do, but she’s on board to help them be a better couple. “My training is going well,” she joked, referencing the previous episode's discussion of men "training" their wives to wait on them hand and foot..
Which Married to Medicine couples have filed for divorce or divorced?
The only couple to actually divorce in the group was Dr. Gregory and Quad Webb. Their marriage was a roller coaster that ultimately ended in accusations of abuse and infidelity. They were married for six years, tying the knot in 2012. They officially divorced in 2019 and they had no children together. Dr. Gregory married Lateasha, aka Sweet Tea, in Season 10 and things seem to be going well.
One of the biggest scandals to hit Married to Medicine was when Dr. Jackie found out Curtis was cheating on her in 2017. She found out about the affair while she was at work and news was spreading on gossip blogs. The two separated and were heading for divorce ahead of Season 5. Jackie told PEOPLE that she wasn’t going to take the blame for her husband’s choices by blaming herself. The show chronicled them finding their way back to each other and compromising on spending more time together. Jackie decided not to divorce Curtis and instead work on their marriage, which they've confirmed during the recent season is going well.

Additionally, Dr. Simone and Cecil came close to parting ways, even separating and living apart for a time.
Dr. Simone dropped a bomb in the Season 5 Married to Medicine reunion when she confirmed she was planning to divorce Cecil. This came after fans witnessed one of the most romantic moments shared between the couple, in which, in Season 4, they renewed their vows while celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary during the couples' trip to Hawaii. The troubles mounted when she talked about the uncomfortableness of Cecil’s close female friend and in an interview with PEOPLE, she said things changed after they dropped their son Miles off at college.
“Cecil and I had a disagreement,” she explained at the time. “We were trying to talk through it — with sometimes tense, sometimes normal negotiations in process — and he woke up on Saturday morning, we had a blow-up. I knew that day that my marriage was over." She also explained they didn’t finish marriage counseling, which led to things being rocky.
However, by the end of the Season 5 reunion, the couple decided to give their marriage another try. It’s Season 10 and they are still together, seemingly happier than ever, once again proving that with the right friendships at your side, even the hard parts can become easier.
The Married to Medicine Season 10 reunion Parts One, Two, and Three air on Bravo on March 3, March 10, and March 17, respectively, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. All episodes are available next day on Peacock.
