James Harris and David Parnes Confirm They Are Leaving Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles
"We started this journey together and we will end it together," the MDLLA business partners said while announcing their exit on Instagram.
James Harris and David Parnes are saying goodbye to Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. The agents confirmed their exit from the show in a joint statement on Instagram on April 8.
The Instagram post, which simply featured their statement in white text on a black background, opened with the British-born business partners recalling how their MDLLA journey began. "We started our business in Los Angeles in 2012 and we received a phone call that we were never expecting. As two best friends from London, we were looking to make a start for ourselves. We had no money, no connections and let’s not forget, no idea of our way around!" they wrote. "The voice on the other end of the line was a casting call for Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. We never intended to come to Los Angeles to be on TV, and as fate had it, we started shooting a show which changed our business and our lives. From starting families to watching our kids grow, to climbing from [$1 million] in sales to over $5 billion in sales, we would never in our wildest dreams have imagined the world watching it happen along with us."
David and James then opened up about their decision to step away from MDLLA. "After 7 amazing seasons spanning over 9 years, we feel the time has come to move on and leave the show which in many ways, has defined us," the agents said. "It’s a move that we have thought long and hard about and we feel that as our business has evolved, we need to keep moving. We thank all our fans wholeheartedly and vow that we won’t stop because we can’t stop."
The pair went on to thank everyone who has shown them love throughout this adventure. "We are beyond grateful to all our supporters who have made us who we are and we promise this is just the end of chapter one. There will be many more chapters and we are working to make sure we continue to share them with you all," James and David wrote. "Most importantly, we are humbled and beyond grateful to have shared our lives with you all and we can’t thank Bravo and NBC as well as the amazing crew and cast who we will value until the last chapter. We started this journey together and we will end it together."
They concluded their note, "With Love, James and David."
James and David first joined MDLLA in Season 7, and fans followed as they made multimillion-dollar real estate deals as part of The Agency. In addition to sharing all of their success in business, David and James also took fans inside their personal lives, including James' life at home with wife Valeria and daughters Sofia and Chloe, as well as David's journey in marrying his wife, Adrian, and starting a family, welcoming daughter India Rose in 2018. David will welcome his second child, a baby girl, in May.
